Text Diff Checker

Compare two text blocks and highlight changed lines.

Legend

+ Added line · − Removed line · Unchanged lines are shown without a prefix.

This lightweight version compares lines in order; it is not a full semantic or word-by-word diff engine.

Compare text one line at a time

Paste the earlier version in Original text and the later version in Modified text, then compare. Added lines are marked with a plus sign and removed lines with a minus sign. Unchanged lines remain unmarked, making this view useful for reviewing notes, drafts, configuration snippets, and other plain text.

Keep the comparison focused

This tool compares lines in order; it is not a word-by-word or semantic comparison. A small edit inside a long line can make that line appear as a removed line and an added line. A moved line may also show up as a removal and an addition. For clearer results, keep related content on separate lines and avoid reformatting the whole document between versions.

What the result can and cannot tell you

The result identifies which lines differ, but it does not explain why they changed or whether a change is correct. Review the surrounding lines before accepting an edit. If you need to compare code structure or individual words inside a sentence, use a tool designed for that more detailed comparison.
